Natal International Airport – Governador Aluízio Alves, also known as São Gonçalo do Amarante Airport, opened on May 31, 2014. It replaced the old Augusto Severo Airport, serving the metropolitan region of Natal, capital of the state of Rio Grande do North and is the newest and one of the most important in Brazil.
