Julio Cézar Ribeiro de Belém / Val-de-Cans International Airport, opened on January 24, 1959, is one of the largest, most modern and busiest in Brazil. It operates with domestic flights to all important destinations in the country and some international flights to the north of South America, the United States and Portugal.
