The São Paulo / Congonhas airport, opened on April 12, 1936, is the most important, in terms of cabotage flights, in the country. Due to a tragic accident in July 2007, the two runways were expanded and combining flights were eliminated, leaving only direct flights to reduce traffic. Since then, it is considered one of the safest airports in Brazil.

Congonhas airport operates with many flights within the country, so there are often many passengers waiting for their respective flights to depart, even at night.
Where to rest?
Most of the terminal seats are equipped with armrests. However, it is possible to find quieter places, where you can lie on the floor, if the passenger has a sleeping bag, especially on the third floor. Another option (paid by credit card that offers the service) is to use one of the VIP lounges, where you can have access to more convenience and privacy, although they close at night.
