Eduardo Gomes de Manaus International Airport, opened on March 26, 1976, is the most important in the state of Amazonas and one of the busiest in Brazil. It operates with domestic flights and some international destinations on the American continent.

Manaus airport is small and has basic facilities, however it does have options for entertainment while waiting for the flight.
Where to rest: The seats inside the terminals are scarce, so it is recommended that passengers have a sleeping bag or blankets to lie on the floor. In the departure area of Terminal 1, there is a VIP lounge for those with a larger budget, but has a maximum stay of 3 hours. Some hotels in the surrounding area offer a shuttle service by booking in advance.
