Macaé Airport, opened in December 1981, is an important air terminal in the state of Rio de Janeiro. It operates only with private and charter flights, in addition to flights to Congonhas.

The enclosure is open 24 hours a day, allowing passengers with a delayed flight or departing at dawn to be able to spend the night inside the terminal. However, it does not have very comfortable facilities.
Where to rest: It is recommended to have a sleeping bag or blankets, as there are no places to rest and therefore it is likely that you should lie down on the floor. On the other hand, it is possible to find many accommodations in the city center.
