With data collected by ANAC and tabulated by the Empetur Studies and Research Sector, the forecast for Recife International Airport is 81 daily landings and takeoffs for this month, a figure that represents an increase of approximately 33% concerning August. The daily flow in the Pernambuco terminal surpasses other capitals, such as Salvador and Fortaleza. In a monthly projection, the airport is expected to reach 2,436 landings and takeoffs throughout September, 29% more than in the previous month.

The position of the air network in September is made possible by the 22 connections made at Recife Airport, 21 of which are domestic and one international. They are Aracaju, Belém, Brasília, Campina Grande, Confins, Fernando de Noronha, Fortaleza, Goiânia, João Pessoa, Juazeiro do Norte, Maceió, Natal, Petrolina, Rio de Janeiro (Galeão and Santos Dumont), Salvador, São Luís, São Paulo (Congonhas, Guarulhos, Campinas), Teresina and Lisbon, in Portugal.

“Because of the difficulties imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the government of Pernambuco spared no effort to make a Safe Living Plan for the resumption of tourism. This planning now allows us to carry out this gradual growth in an appropriate manner for the benefit of the sector, of the people and the consolidation of the State as a leader in the region and a power in the country “, says the Secretary of Tourism and Leisure, Rodrigo Novaes.

The participation in the September network is composed of the airlines Azul, Gol, Latam, and TAP.
